SAKURA KENNEDY
Sakura is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and practices TCM
acupuncture. She qualified at The University of Westminster in 2006,
where she also trained for TuiNa Massage (Chinese style massage using
acupuncture principle), cupping and moxibustion, in support of
acupuncture treatments. She works on both musculoskeletal and internal
problems (please see details on acupuncture page).
The principles of Chinese Medicine see a person as an integral whole.
Sakura's treatment not only addresses a patient's presenting conditions,
but also supplements or removes, where appropriate, whatever the body is
lacking or producing in excess. In this way a 'single' course of
acupuncture treatment is often able to apply itself to multiple problems.
Sakura has a keen interest in the application of acupuncture to
gynaecological problems and fertility support, where she continues to
keep herself up-to-date with the latest trends and skills.
She also works for Imperial College Hospital in South Kensington,
treating a wide range of conditions including acute infections, and
chronic internal conditions such as asthma, hayfever, fatigue, insomnia
and IBS.
Sakura has also worked at:
- The polyclinic in University of Westminster
- Volunteering at the Gateway Clinic in Lambeth Hospital
- Wimpole Therapeutics
