Kinesiology

kinesiology - well-beingA unique way to Balanced Health using techniques and concepts from the world of chiropractors and ancient oriental knowledge of acupuncture and the flow of energy in the body.

Kinesiology was developed by Dr. George Goodheart in 1964. It is a way of identifying any imbalances a person has by monitoring their ability to hold their muscles against light pressure. Each muscle is related to an organ, and also to an energy pathway called a meridian.

Together the muscle, organ and meridian form a ‘circuit’. If there are chemical, emotional, structural or energetic stresses affecting the circuit, the muscle will feel ‘spongy’, indicating an imbalance.

Strengthening this ‘circuit’, or making a particular muscle go from weak to strong, might involve firm reflex massage, acupressure, light touch, gentle structural alignment, various emotional stress release techniques, Bach Flower remedies, nutritional supplements, suggested lifestyle changes and more, making kinesiology a truly life-enhancing and holistic therapy.

Word of the month: empowermentWhy Kinesiology?

Kinesiology has proven time and time again that it can make a difference. In any health issue kinesiology is able to isolate the stressors and factors involved in a person’s health, always considering the vital Emotional/Mental/Physical link which makes each individual react to stressors in a unique and particular way. A course of treatment is usually recommended so that a patient might benefit from the cumulative effects of each kinesiology balance session. This totally non-invasive new therapy is particularly appreciated in the field of food sensitivities and allergies which can be ascertained without the use of painful tools and laborious methods.

Powerful yet very simple techniques are also used when people find themselves inhibited by emotions such a low self-esteem, lack of confidence, inability to cope with stress, all blockages which prevent a person achieving his/her goals in life.

I have now been coming to see Francoise for about 2 years and I just wanted to pass on how important and beneficial our kinesiology sessions have been. I was a little bit skeptical before my first visit but now regard the sessions as an essential element in keeping my physical, mental and spiritual balance. If I am ever feeling ill at ease I know that a visit to Francoise will make me feel much more together. I now regard our monthly sessions as an essential element in functioning at my very best.
Peter Goonery, Battersea

Francoise I am writing to thank you for how much better I now feel after our sessions together. My chronic neck and shoulder condition responds extremely well to your treatment. The benefits to seeing you though, are much more than just physical health. Your kindness and genuine desire for my total well being, means that I feel much more settled and at peace after our session. As you know I am very busy running my own business and often become rather stressed out by it all. You are able to help me maintain my confidence in my ability to succeed and to feel much calmer and in control.
Lisa Temperley, Battersea
