Sophie Cox

Sophie Cox

Sophie completed her training at the Brighton University in 1998 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry, allowing her to become a state-registered podiatrist. Her specialist areas are biomechanics and sports injuries. She has a particular interest in computerised gait analysis. Sophie spent four years working in Canada where she worked with the University of British Columbia Sports Medicine Clinic in Vancouver. She combined her clinical work with golf analysis, cycling alignment and skiing analysis.

Since her return to the UK Sophie has worked in private practice in the London area and has lectured extensively on her work in gait analysis and sports medicine.

Sophie is the podiatrist for the UK Badminton Team and also treats many athletes and professional football players.

 

 

Amanda Thomas

Amanda completed her training at Salford University in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry and has worked in both the NHS and in Private Practice since qualifying. Her NHS work involved working alongside a Biomechanics Specialist and Physiotherapists within a multi-disciplinary Primary Care Trust team.

Amanda now works in private practice full time with The Gait Lab and being a runner herself, she has a special interest in treating Runners and assessing Running footwear using Video Gait Analysis. She is able to advise patients on appropriate running shoe models, running technique, and post-injury return to running programs.

She also has an interest in Systemic disorders of the body which affect the feet and lower limbs including Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis and has a specialist knowledge in Orthotics Prescription and Footwear advice for these conditions.

 

 

Blerina - Rina Bimbashi

Rina completed her training at University College London (UCL) in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. Since graduating she has worked in both NHS and private practice where her work primarily been in Biomechanics and Gait Analysis.

Rina has experience in treating many musculoskeletal problems and she is well researched in all areas of footwear prescription from running shoe advice to every day footwear. Rina is currently working on her postgraduate studies at Staffordshire University. She has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Diagnosis and is currently working on an MSc in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics.
