Sponsorship – Supporting Our Future Sporting Stars
Body Logic Physiotherapy is always striving to assist the young sports people that are the future of this country, particularly those participating in the perceived minor sports. They may be less in the public eye and certainly obtain less funding than some of the main stream sports we regularly view on the television. However the opportunities and the importance to be able to compete on a World Stage requires assistance, and we are please to be able to offer some young athletes assist in obtaining the sporting goals by offering them physiotherapy treatment to assist in keeping them rising towards the top of their sport.
Anne Marie Birmingham (20) – Kick Boxing
We sponsor Anne Marie Birmingham her physiotherapy treatment on an annual basis to help keep her at peak fitness, or recover from injury, so that she can obtain her goals within the sport of Kick Boxing. Her progress through the ranks and into the Great Britain squad has been impressive, and she is continuing to improve and set herself new goals to obtain. We are proud to be able to assist her in reaching these goals.
Anne Marie (on the right of the photo) started Kickboxing at Phoenix school of Martial Arts back in 2001, aged 14, for fitness. As soon as she began sparing she just fell in love with the sport and has become more involved each year. She now trains six times a week and assists instructing both children and adults.
She has been on the Great Britain Squad for two years now and is looking forward to the World Championships in Serbia at the end of September 2007, especially having obtained silver in the 60kg weight division at the recent World Cup, held in Italy.
Her outstanding rise in the sport can be seen by her achievements over the last few years as detailed below:
